This summer I gave a talk about some of my PhD results at the 6th International Conference on Medical Geology (MedGeo2015). MedGeo is the biannual conference of the International Medical Geology Association, or shortly, IMGA. This time, the conference was in the beautiful Aveiro (Portugal).
I signed up for the conference last year, maybe in November, when I still didn’t know if I’m continuing my work on this topic, but I have been part of the Danish chapter of IMGA for the last 3 years, so it felt natural. Also, while at the previous conference (MedGeo2013, which was in Washington DC or Arlington, to be precise) I didn’t have my papers published and all my results were preliminary, this time I could present the work that was already done.
So, in my talk (15 min) I tried to summarize the main findings from my 3 published papers and the unpublished results from my PhD thesis. Because my Aarhus university profile is no longer active, from now on I will be uploading my conference materials here.

I enjoyed immensely the conference talks and the social events. It was nice to see again some of the people I got to know during my PhD period. I have no idea what the future holds, so, who knows?! Maybe, I’ll also go to the next MedGeo2017, which will be held in Moscow.

edit (13 September 2015): the organizers sent us the pictures from the conference, so the only picture I saw myself on is the group picture:
